Film Festival in July and other Updates

Hey there Much Love Nation!

It has been a while and a lot has already happened for us this year.

We've been building out a Resource page to help people with depression or anxiety, we've had a logo redesign (thanks to Kate Sowles, they are beautiful!), and we will be hosting a Portland, Oregon Film Festival in July. This is where we need your help.

For each $50 we raise we can support 1 person working on a film for the festival. Our goal is to raise at least $2000 to cover the event space to present the films and participation in the event. Our success with this event will pave the way for our ability to host similar events in the future.

The idea behind the Film Festival is part of our new art projects initiative. We want to create a space where people can express themselves through film and the theme this year is "Hope: Overcoming a great struggle." I think many of us have ways of coping during most of high anxiety or stress. For some this means turning to art mediums to express themselves. For me personally I found film to be the most cathartic. I would often go to the movies or work on creating my own films to try and work through my thoughts or express certain emotions.

Thank you for continued support!

Much Love.

P.S. We have a new writer joining our blogging team who will be working on posting weekly content ranging from the state of mental health in our culture to what is depression. Keep an eye out next Monday (April 11th) for his first post.
